The nature of vacation space — separate from other relationships, removed from daily stressors — creates a playful action and stimulates the unconscious mind. It allows the vacationer to settle down and envision serenity. However, on top of this calmness the photographic moment captures and purifies complexities of disturbing psychological sensations that are more evident in vacations. This series of photographs documents and directs a family gathering in the mountains of Tuscany. The camera follows characters that are caught in moments of in-between, while having their casual daily routines during the twilight hours.
